Fissure

Zorrotzaure Fissure: Organic design peels back the ground, creating elevated walkways as natural viewpoints amidst trees.

In a concise two-week endeavor, our task was to craft a captivating landscape project on Zorrotzaure Island in Bilbao. The island, already adorned with lush vegetation, inspired a design that harmoniously blended with nature. Our proposal envisioned an organic peeling back of the ground, creating elevated structures that seamlessly integrate with the island's tree-covered expanse.

The elevated walkways, akin to natural hills, serve a dual purpose – offering shelter beneath and providing vantage points for visitors to ascend and relish panoramic views. These elevated viewpoints not only extend outward to capture scenic vistas but also inward, allowing an introspective gaze at the flourishing trees on this new, elevated terrain.

The project aims to entice visitors to explore, engage, and appreciate the island's natural beauty, creating a harmonious convergence of architecture and nature.
